Allah Subhan has provided me with a great opportunity to contribute to the guidance and development of our future generation and I do not take it lightly. I benefited tremendously from my elders, teachers, colleagues, and students from the past and will do my utmost to pass it on. I hope our cadets will do the same.
Cadet College Swat is not only an academic institution. It should be able to impart education in an all-encompassing manner. Education restricted to indoctrination and certification is not learning. Aiming at good results and certification will lead only to the short term success. Memorising and parroting it back is the easiest way to do that.
Learning is an argument, a conversation designed to change minds. Our cadets with age ranging from 12 to 19 years are in a very transformative stage of their life. We will endeavour to help them learn how to learn, so that their success is not restricted to the stage of organised schooling. This will require emotional enrollment through active engagement in order to inculcate a desire to be transformed and to leave previous assumptions behind. We, as elders and teachers, should help them prepare for all future possibilities.
I hope that we will have complete support of the parents with understanding and patience. Our cadets are full of potential and they can do wonders if they are provided with the right environment and regular opportunities.
